President Donald Trump has reversed a key Obama-era scientific ruling that underpins all federal actions on curbing planet-warming gases.

Senate Democrats voted Thursday to block a motion to advance a House-passed bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security, putting Washington on the brink of a partial government shutdown that will affect more than 260,000 federal employees.

The U.S. Internal Revenue Service improperly disclosed the confidential tax information of thousands of people to federal immigration enforcement authorities, the Washington Post reported on Wednesday, citing three people familiar with the situation.

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration lifted its temporary closure of airspace over El Paso on Wednesday, saying all flights will resume as normal and that there was no threat to commercial aviation.

"He is feeling better and will be working from home this week on the advice of his doctors," Sen. Mitch McConnell's spokesman said.
