U.S. President Donald Trump is privately musing about exiting the CUSMA trade pact, people familiar with the matter said.
(Bloomberg) — The US and Taiwan finalized a trade agreement to cut tariffs, boost market access for American products in Asia and channel billions of dollars into US energy and technology projects.
The president has asked aides why he shouldn’t withdraw from the pact, which he signed during his first term, though he has stopped short of flatly signaling that he will do so, Bloomberg reports.
The Trump administration reached a trade deal with Taiwan on Thursday, with Taiwan agreeing to remove or reduce 99% of its tariff barriers, the office of the U.S. Trade Representative said.
